Lindsay Lohan not Imprisoned, but stay in Rehabilitation

Lindsay Lohan may breathe a little easier. 26-year-old Hollywood actress is spared from jail. However, Lohan is required to stay in rehab and community service for three months, following a car accident in June last year.

As quoted by Reuters on Tuesday (19/03/2013), Los Angeles Superior Court judge, the United States James Dabney sentenced Lindsay Lohan to undergo psychotherapy for 18 months and probation for two years.

Mean Girls star's 26-year-old spared from jail after admitting lying to police that she was not behind the wheel when her Porsche sports car crashed into a truck on June 8, 2012 in Santa Monica, California, USA.

Lindsay Lohan who are still undergoing probation because of shoplifting jewelry in 2011, facing the threat of jail if she is found guilty in the latest indictment. Unless Lohan admitted probation violation in 2011.

Under this agreement, Lohan given 180 days suspension imprisoned unless she violates probation. The deal was announced after prosecutors and defense lawyers met judge Dabney two hours before the trial opened.

Dabney also suggested Lindsay Lohan was not driving the vehicle and away from the problem. If Lohan violates probation, added Dabney, law enforcement can not compromise anymore.

Steven Soderbergh praises Lindsay Lohan sex scene in The Canyons

Lindsay Lohan's latest movie, TheCanyons heavily criticized because of poor quality and rejected by some film festival organizers. Nevertheless, the film caught the attention of Oscar-winning director, Steven Soderbergh.

Oscar director who gets through the film TRAFFIC said that this erotic thriller capable of displaying spectacular sex scene. Soderbergh was asked by the producer to see the film rough results, as reported by the New York Times.

"I can only say, 'Oh my God'. I really like what they are doing. This is really great, there is a spectacular sex scenes in them," says Soderbergh.

Soderbergh reportedly even offered help to edit the film, but the director rejected the offer. Associated with the advice he gave to this film, he explains that he often did it to other filmmakers.

"I’ve been done with other filmmakers; they also do the same for me. Interactions of this kind are not unusual for me," he concluded.

Paul Schrader said it would take months before he allowed critics and fans saw a movie starring Lindsay and porn star, James Deen, because he felt that the project would not be successful enough for Lindsay's involvement in it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a source said SXSW reject "The Canyons" due to "quality issues".

Lindsay Lohan: A Non-Alcoholic New Year In London

Lindsay Lohan takes away the holidays from 31 December to enjoy a quiet dinner in London. According to TMZ, she wants 2013 to be the year of sobriety.

Lindsay Lohan reportedly told her friends that she will spend NYE in London without a drop of alcohol. The star of 26 years could go up to 245 days in jail for violating the conditions of her parole from a robbery of jewelry.

According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan is determined to make a good impression on the judge who will decide her fate and begins refraining from drinking alcohol for the biggest night of the year. The site reports that Lilo plans to make a small dinner in London where she currently resides before joining her family and friends at her hotel.

Her violations of conditions of parole is not the only legal problem though. Lindsay Lohan could be sentenced for assault after hit a woman in a nightclub in New York in November. The star also struggles against her addiction to alcohol . Her father, Michael Lohan , has tried to develop an intervention at her home in Beverly Hills in October. He said earlier this month that he still believes that his daughter needs to move away from bad influences that surround and undergo a rehab for the fifth time.

'' If people stopped to take her money, she would not have problems. Anyway, the price of the treatment would have been supported if it is or agrees to go! I think she wants to go, now the ball is in her court! '' said Michael Radar Online.

Michael promised to organize a program of rehab for Lindsay Lohan, if she agrees to treatment for six months or more.

Lindsay Lohan has been praised by the judge to have complied with the terms of her probation.

Actress Lindsay Lohan, 25, seems to show a new maturity, when she was presented 15 minutes earlier than expected for her hearing on the progression of her probation yesterday (January 17), reports People .

The star appeared before Judge Stephanie Sautner, who praised Lohan advising her to “continue what you do. You seem to come out very well”.

In fact, Lindsay Lohan finished her 12 days of community service at the mortuary, and her four therapy sessions. She also meets with her probation officer on a regular basis.

The judge found in Lohan and her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley: "The probation officer wrote a positive report, as the volunteer center."

Note that Lindsay Lohan must appear before the court again on 22 February. By this hearing, it is expected to complete an additional 15 days of community service at the mortuary and five therapy sessions.

If it continues to fulfill the requirements of the court, Lindsay Lohan could end the probation next March 29.
