Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman separated after ten years of marriage.
The couple met when they were students at the University of New York, and their marriage took place in 2000. They had a son, Roman, now 7 years old.
"Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman separated in private earlier this year after 10 years of marriage," said the representative of the actress in Us Weekly .
"The decision was mutual, and they continue to support each other and are committed to raising their son as a family," added the spokesman.
The star of Will and Grace will be part of a new television series, Smash , from February on NBC. She and her ex-husband have recently moved to New York, where they still live under the same roof.
